Town Hall Challenge: Turn on your camera!
Based on the Town Hall feedback, the Department of Medical Education will host one town hall a week on a rotation basis. We have just ended the first round by hosting the Scholarly Year students and to bring some healthy competition, a new challenge has begun: faces win! We want to see you and your environments (kids, family, animals and all) and to kick us off, 50% of last night’s town hall “showed up.”
Scholarly Year Town Hall Recording
With more than 60 participants in attendance, 39 participants asked a total of 77 questions during last night’s town hall.

Class of 2021
The rising MS4s will engage in a 90-minute hybrid class meeting and town hall next week with presentations from Student Affairs, Curricular Affairs and Enrollment Services to address year 4 academic and residency planning. See the Zoom details in the “Ongoing Updates” section.
Class of 2022
We recognize today’s Prometric and NBME announcements created a lot of concern and the next week may bring additional clarity. What we know to be true today: Prometric considers USMLE exams essential and examinations will be administered based on the availability of testing sites.
The ISMMS Educational Oversight Committee (EOC) is currently reviewing two proposals regarding Step 1 timing and Elective requirements and as soon as the committee review and voting processes are complete, a comprehensive document will be sent to the class.
Your next Town Hall is scheduled for May 13 at 4pm at https://mssm.zoom.us/j/97911024730.
