Class of 2021 Town Hall Recording and Presentations.

At least 170 people attended last evening’s class meeting/town hall and with 92 participants, 83 questions were answered during the two-hour meeting. Approximately 43% of the attendees “showed up” to the meeting, leaving the Scholarly Year town hall in the lead with the most participation on camera thus far.

A lot of information was covered last night!

Get the Curricular Affairs and Registrar presentation HERE, the Student Affairs Residency Application presentation HERE, and the meeting’s recording HERE.

Blackboard and the MedInfoApp will be updated next week to begin hosting the Residency Application 2021 information.

Class of 2022 Step 1 Cancellations and What to Do from Dr. Lauren Linkowski

We have all been through a lot of change in the past few days. I have received countless emails about what to do, and I know that a lot of my advice is being shared. In the interest of making sure equitable and timely advice and information are available, I have created a statement on general advice regarding the Prometric situation.

If you need specifics or have individual questions, feel free to contact me, but many questions will be addressed HERE.

Free Coursera.org courses

The ISMMS Academic IT team and the Department of Medical Education are conducting a pilot of the Coursera for Campus platform. This initiative allows for a limited number of students to gain free access to Coursera’s 3800 courses until July 31, 2020.

To register for a license, complete this FORM. Dr. Mary Rojas will submit your information to the Academic IT team, and provide you with the specific instructions on how to register for your Coursera courses. If all of the spaces have been filled, you will be placed on a waitlist. Additional licenses may become available.

As a pilot, your feedback is invaluable. As such, in exchange for a license you will complete a brief pre-post evaluation for each course you register for.

If you would like to take any Coursera courses for elective credit, please contact Dr. Mary Rojas to determine the amount of elective credit weeks; she can also serve as your elective mentor and will require a tailor-made research elective form.
