UPDATED STUDENT TRAVEL POLICY AND REQUIRED REGISTRY

The Student Travel Policy announced today applies to all medical and graduate students when they are on campus, working, learning and/or living in our school and health system arenas. This policy is in place through January 1, 2021 and may be extended beyond this date depending on the state of COVID-19 in the coming months. For those who are visa holders and plan to travel internationally, please check with your respective immigration specialist in International Personnel for updates on any international travel restrictions prior to departing the United States to ensure your re-entry to the United States will not be not be compromised.

All students must register their travel by completing this Travel Registry at least one week prior to the travel date. The registration form collects basic information about travel and allows us to protect the health of our students and all members of our community by monitoring and enforcing appropriate quarantine and testing strategies when necessary. A breach of this policy can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from school.

Extended Antibody Testing and Results Timeline

We are continuing with our mandatory antibody testing for all graduate students who reside in Aron Hall and all medical students, irrespective of living quarters. The current uptick in the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 across the country has necessitated that we continue to update our infection prevention protocols.

Additional appointment slots for testing at IMA are available until July 31.

Please sign up here to make an appointment if you haven’t received antibody testing yet. It is imperative that you wear a mask and arrive on time for your appointment, as the clinic must stick to the schedule to maintain social distancing.

Turnaround time for PCR test results is typically within 8 hours.
