Fall Semester Update - Years 1 and 2
Announced earlier today to the classes of 2023 and 2024, the fall semester for each class will be conducted remotely and we expect to resume in-person curriculum at Mount Sinai in the second semester. This was not an easy decision and we do not underestimate the disappointment that you likely feel. Our decision prioritizes your health and our collective public responsibility to curtail the risk of infection.
New students will start medical school after a week of mandatory Orientation programming from August 10-14. The Office of Student Affairs and the Orientation Planning Committee will solicit student engagement in a number of ways to make sure the new class experiences the ISMMS student family despite the distance.
