Infection Prevention Policies and Guidelines
Over the past few weeks we've been working with the health system Infection Control/Prevention teams to develop strong policies and guidelines for our medical school community. Today is the first of several updates that you will receive detailing some of those policies and guidelines. These policies were developed with a specific focus on students’ engagement in the learning environment and in a coordinated effort between our Medical Education infection prevention team and the health system team. It's important to note a few things.
One, all guidelines and policies are developed with the lens of your safety and with the input from the institution, DOH, CDC and the state. Secondly, these are subject to change as we advance through the phases of re-entry or respond to a surge. Finally, we will be updating information over the upcoming days and weeks and will have a centralized location for you to access the information.
ISMMS Infection Prevention Policy is for all students (medical and graduate students)
Medical Student Infection Control and Prevention Guidelines and Requirements are specific for medical students.
