Mandatory Survey, Quarantine, Anti-body Testing and Symptom Tracking.
The travel survey is required by all medical students who are returning to NYC in the next four weeks.
If you are not in NYC and are engaging in a learning activity (InFocus, rotation) on 6/29 or 7/6 or shortly thereafter, you should return to NYC.
Get tested for antibodies at the Annenberg Lobby before the program ends on Friday. Walk-ins are available from 7:00am to 2:45pm. We are instituting COVID 19 PCR testing for recent travelers and for those with symptoms. Please stay tuned for further details.
Symptom Tracking is required daily for any medical student in NYC participating in clinical work, research, electives and/or living in Aron Hall. Access the tracker from MedInfoApp or click HERE.
Updated Guidance for Health Care Personnel on PPE for COVID-19
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently updated its health care personnel (HCP) guidance regarding personal protective equipment (PPE).
The CDC now recommends that all HCP use eye protection (goggles or a face shield), in addition to a face mask, for all patient encounters, whether or not COVID-19 is suspected.
Additionally, an N95 respirator or higher should be worn for any procedure that can generate aerosols or might otherwise pose higher risk for transmission (e.g., surgical procedures involving anatomic regions where viral loads may be higher, such as the nose, throat, or lower respiratory tract).
