June 27 Bulletin

Edit

Building on last night's message, we want to press upon you the importance of everyone's role in protecting others.

As you know we are actively doing same-day SARS-CoV-2 PCR testing on:

If you are traveling from one of the states, you MUST complete the Travel FORM.

If you fall into EITHER of these categories you need to:

  1. Wear a face covering, self-quarantine and follow social distancing guidelines. Behave as if you are positive for COVID19
  2. Immediately contact Student Health and provide your name, date of birth, phone number, and symptoms or travel history) to arrange for PCR testing
  3. While awaiting PCR results act as if your test is positive until you have a result. Continue to self-quarantine, wear a mask and socially distance from your roommates.

Remember that a close contact is defined as someone who has been less than 6 feet from (without one or both people wearing a mask) and spent greater than 15 minutes with someone who has tested PCR positive within the last 2 days.

Note that per NYC Department of Health guidelines, all close contacts of PCR positive students will need to quarantine for 14 days. We can only stay on track with your education and keep you safe if we all protect one another.
