Anti-body Testing Update - ALL MUST READ THIS MESSAGE
We are continuing with our mandatory antibody testing for all graduate students who reside in Aron Hall and all medical students, irrespective of living quarters. The current uptick in the prevalence of SARS-C0V-2 across the country has necessitated that we continue to update our infection prevention protocols.
We have identified another location for you to receive your mandatory antibody test.
Internal Medicine Associates (IMA – 17 East 101st Street, 7th floor) will accommodate up to 30 students per day for testing.
Please sign up HERE for your appointment if you haven’t received antibody testing yet. It is imperative that you wear a mask and arrive on time for your appointment, as the clinic must stick to the schedule to maintain social distancing.
Those of you who are starting on July 6th are encouraged to sign up for an appointment slot tomorrow (Wed) or Thursday, in order to minimize disruption to your clinical schedule. With the exception of tomorrow (Wed 7/1), the sign up for each day will close at 4pm the previous day.
For those of you traveling who have not completed the travel survey you are encouraged do to so.
We are also continuing the COVID-19 PCR testing for recent travelers and for those with symptoms. If you have symptoms, you must contact Student Health immediately. The Governor has increased the number of states that necessitate PCR testing to include AL, AR, AZ, CA, FL, GA, IA, ID, LA, MS, NC, NV, SC, TN, TX, UT.
If you are not in NYC and are starting a required component of your education on 7/6 or shortly thereafter, you should return to NYC as soon as possible. Upon your return:
Wear a face covering, self-quarantine and follow social distancing guidelines. Behave as if you are positive for COVID19. Immediately contact Student Health and provide your name, date of birth, phone number, and symptoms or travel history to arrange for PCR testing
While awaiting PCR results act as if your test is positive until you have a result. Continue to self-quarantine, wear a mask even with your roommates, socially distance.
Please continue to stay vigilant and look for more updates. This rapidly changing environment requires that we work closely to address this public health crisis. Everything we do as individuals will have an impact on other members of our community.
