Approved Step Exams Policy

Approved by the ISMMS Educational Oversight Committee on May 1, 2020, the ISMMS deadline for taking the USMLE Step 1, 2 CK and 2 CS has been moved until March 1st of the student’s graduation year.

To continue supporting students with exam preparation, UWorld for Step 2 CK will be provided for the entire third year as planned. Other resources, including UWorld for Step 1, UWorld for Step 2 CK, and Pathoma will be extended as necessary for individual test preparation timelines.

Residency Information Updated on Blackboard

The Class of 2021 residency application and information sessions have been posted to Blackboard>Class of 2021 Org>Year 4. Information has been updated on Blackboard. Be sure to attend the Residency Information Sessions in May and be on the look-out for continued updates for additional sessions and COVID-19 impacted statements from specialty associations.

Daily Digest Frequency Change

As Dr. Muller shared on April 29 HERE, the Daily Digest will move to a a twice/week format next week, released on Mondays and Thursdays. Breaking news will be sent as needed. We encourage your continued engagement with the class representatives to share issues most pressing for you individually.

Financial Aid Relief Grant

The Emergency Grant will provide one-time financial assistance to currently enrolled ISMMS students who are unable to meet immediate essential expenses, because of current hardship related to COVID-19. If you had an emergency attributed to COVID-19, please complete the ISMMS Emergency Request Form. You may contact LaVerne Walker, Director of Student Financial Services, at laverne.walker@mssm.edu should you have any questions.
Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis and available until the school’s allocation has been depleted. Students with immediate need should complete the form as soon as possible. Grant notifications will begin the week of Monday, May 4th.
