What should students be doing in year 1 and 2?
If interested in research, do research. If interested in global health, join those trips. If an activist, show in clubs or activities.
What should students be doing in year 3 and 4?
3rd year: work diligently to get high grades in 3rd year clerkship, meet with Dr. Chen 4th year: take step 2 in summer, do the Ob/Gyn electives, work on applications, connect with mentors/LoR writers.
Is an away elective recommended?
Recommended if student wants a specific program in a certain geographic area.
