Course Objectives
- Prepare medical students in their current and future roles as stewards of safe, high quality, high value, patient-centered care and systems innovators through hands-on experiential learning
- Develop a culture of safety and quality that medical students will carry with them throughout their training and career
- Learn clerkship-specific, patient-centered skills that provide the foundation for the safe and competent practice and advocacy of medicine
- Promote habits of self-care and wellness to optimize learning and the ability to care for patients
- Create a safe space for reflecting on students’ clinical experiences, and on clinical practice more generally, to foster enduring learning and growth
- Provide support and resources to explore specific academic and career interests and prepare students for the next stages in their training
