EDUCATIONAL CLINICAL ACTIVITIES
M1 and M2 participation in educational and work-related clinical activities is contingent on successfully completing required compliance training and the availability and utilization of the proper PPE as dictated by the patient situation or clinical procedure.
Distribution of PPE is the primary responsibility of the clinical site.
M1 and M2 students with proper PPE, may participate in the care of non-COVID patients. They may also participate in the care of the following groups of patients, under any circumstances, including electives, apprenticeship/shadowing, or ASM:
- Any patient in any patient care site/unit including the Emergency Department, who have known COVID-19 NEGATIVE status.
They CANNOT participate in the care of any patient in any care site that are:
- Confirmed COVID-19
- Persons under investigation (PUI) for COVID-19
