Session Description: Poor surgical techniques lead to worse outcomes which includes wound dehiscence and post-surgical infections. In fact, surgical site infections (SSIs) are one of the most common, and most important, nosocomial infections in post-operative patients. Surgical SSIs can prolong hospital stay by a median of two weeks per patient and increased healthcare costs by more than 300% per surgical case.
